This program, jointly established by National Pukyong University and Ningbo University, has brought 26 graduate students from Ningbo University to study at National Pukyong University for one semester starting in March.

Based on a student and academic exchange agreement, the two universities have prepared this program to establish a foundation for international joint research and development in the marine and fisheries sector, to strengthen the research capabilities of Ningbo University’s graduate students, and to enhance their understanding of Korean culture.

National Pukyong University is operating the program under the supervision of the Institute of International Cooperation for Marine and Fisheries Development. The Ningbo University graduate students are assigned to faculty advisors in the Graduate Program of Marine and Fisheries Convergence Science for one semester, where they participate in education, research, and experiments, and learn about Korea’s advanced fisheries science and technology.

Ningbo University, located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, is a national university with 23 colleges and over 44,000 students. It has strengths in marine and fisheries research and actively exchanges with related institutions in Korea.

National Pukyong University expects that, unlike existing undergraduate-focused exchange programs, this graduate-level program will strengthen international exchange and cooperation at the graduate school level.
