Jeongeup City Launches 'Youth Culture and Arts Pass' Program
150,000 KRW Points Provided
for 19-Year-Olds Born in 2006
Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province is implementing the 'Youth Culture and Arts Pass' program for 19-year-olds.
According to the city on the 14th, this program is designed to provide young people taking their first steps into society with opportunities to experience a variety of cultural and artistic activities. Any 19-year-old born in 2006 and residing in Jeongeup City is eligible to apply.
The Youth Culture and Arts Pass, which can be used to attend plays, musicals, exhibitions, and concerts, provides points worth 150,000 KRW on a first-come, first-served basis.
This year, 309 people, accounting for 36.2% of 19-year-olds, will be able to receive benefits. The points can be used at partner ticketing platforms such as Interpark or YES24.
To apply, register as a member at one of the partner ticketing platforms, then apply through the Youth Culture and Arts Pass website. The first application deadline is May 31, and the points must be used by December 31 of this year. However, if the points are not used even once by the end of June, the support funds will be withdrawn, so prompt use after application is recommended.
Mayor Lee Haksoo said, "This project supports young people in experiencing diverse culture and arts and growing as cultural citizens. I hope many 19-year-olds participate and enjoy the benefits, and we will continue to expand cultural opportunities for youth in the future."
