The Korean Society of Radiological Technology promotes research on basic theories in general and fluoroscopy fields and clinical applications of radiological technology, aiming to enhance expertise in the radiology sector. Every year, it holds refresher courses and academic conferences on basic and applied radiological technologies, including bone density and 3D printers. This year's conference was held on the 8th at Sinchon Severance Hospital.
At this event, JW Medical attracted attention by exhibiting Carestream's imaging diagnostic devices. Carestream is a global company in the medical imaging technology field, established in 2007 after spinning off from Kodak's medical business division, which is famous for camera films. It holds core technologies for digital radiography (DR) systems and detectors, among other imaging diagnostic solutions.
Additionally, JW Medical showcased Carestream's detector 'DRX-LC.' The DRX-LC is the latest detector that reduces imaging time for long bones such as the femur and tibia, enhancing device usability for medical staff. This product supports the 'X-Factor' feature, which maximizes detector compatibility, allowing it to be used with various Carestream imaging diagnostic devices.
JW Medical signed a domestic sales contract with Carestream in 2020 and has been strengthening sales and marketing activities for premium imaging diagnostic devices. Currently, it supplies Carestream's imaging diagnostic devices to tertiary general hospitals, private hospitals, military hospitals, and public health centers. To provide prompt service in medical settings, JW Medical operates a 24-hour 'All in ONE' system in collaboration with Carestream.
A JW Medical representative stated, "Domestic medical professionals showed great interest in Carestream's imaging diagnostic technology and products," adding, "We plan to make various efforts to widely promote technologies and products that help improve convenience in medical settings."
