Gyeonggi-do Supports 22,000 Youth Workers with 'Welfare Points and Earned Income Tax Credit'
Gyeonggi Province will provide 'Youth Welfare Points' and 'Work Incentives for Young Workers in Small and Medium Enterprises' to approximately 22,000 young workers employed at small and medium-sized enterprises.
Youth Welfare Points is a program that grants exclusive points for the Gyeonggi Youth Welfare Mall to improve the welfare of young people. Eligible applicants are young residents of Gyeonggi Province aged between 19 and 39, working at small and medium-sized or mid-sized enterprises or non-profit organizations located in Gyeonggi Province, working at least 36 hours per week, and earning a monthly salary of 3.59 million KRW or less.
Gyeonggi Province will select 20,000 applicants through recruitment announcements in June and August and provide welfare points of 600,000 KRW per half-year, up to 1.2 million KRW annually.
The Work Incentives for Young Workers in Small and Medium Enterprises program supports young residents of Gyeonggi Province aged 19 to 39 who work at least 36 hours per week at small and medium-sized enterprises in the province and earn a monthly salary of 3.59 million KRW or less, by providing regional currency worth 1.2 million KRW per half-year, up to 4.8 million KRW over two years.
This year, the support target is a total of 2,000 people, and the recruitment announcement is scheduled for October.
For both programs, applicants are selected in order of the lowest average health insurance premium over the six months prior to the announcement date within the support scale, and duplicate participation is not allowed. Detailed information regarding recruitment for each program can be confirmed through separate announcements before recruitment.
