Seeking Candidates in the Gwangju Area
Recognizing Employers, Workers, and Outstanding Skilled Technicians
Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office (Director Lee Doyoung) announced on the 13th that it will be seeking candidates for the '2025 Vocational Competency Development Merit Awards' among employers, workers, and outstanding skilled technicians in the Gwangju area.
The Vocational Competency Development Merit Awards are presented every September, during Vocational Competency Month, to encourage individuals who have made significant contributions to lifelong vocational competency development and the realization of a competency-based society.
This year, a total of 99 individuals will be awarded orders, medals, and presidential commendations in six categories: ▲employers ▲workers ▲outstanding skilled technicians ▲representatives of vocational training institutions ▲vocational training instructors ▲HRD and qualification professionals. Approximately 15 people from the Gwangju area are expected to be recognized.

Lee Doyoung, Director of the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, stated, "By actively identifying and rewarding those who have contributed to vocational competency development in the Gwangju area, we plan to encourage these individuals and promote the dissemination of outstanding cases."
