First Exhibition Celebrates Opening of the Daegyeong Line
The Gumi Cultural Foundation in North Gyeongsang Province is opening a small art museum inside the multi-purpose cultural space "Gaksan Salon," located on Geumridan-gil near Gumi Station, and will begin its full-scale operation. This initiative is part of a local cultural revitalization project commemorating the opening of the Daegyeong Line, and various exhibition programs, including invitational exhibitions of local artists, are planned.

View original imageThe first exhibition will run for three months, from the 15th of this month to June 14, featuring a relay solo exhibition by artists representing Daegu, Gyeongsan, and Gumi: Nam Hakho (Daegu), Jang Gaewon (Gyeongsan), and Song Seonil (Gumi).
The Gaksan Salon Art Museum is expected to become a key hub of the “Art Flowing Geumo Road” project, which connects Gumi Station, Geumridan-gil, Geumocheon, and Geumosan. The Gumi Cultural Foundation also plans to continue supporting the creative activities of local artists and to provide exhibition space free of charge.
Lee Hanseok, CEO of the Gumi Cultural Foundation, said, “We hope that the Gaksan Salon Art Museum will become an open space where local residents and tourists can enjoy art,” adding, “We will continue to develop various programs for the advancement of local culture.”
