Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to Hold Meeting with Homeplus Suppliers...Reviewing Payment Status
The government will hold a meeting attended by Homeplus and key suppliers to review the payment status.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced on the 12th that it will hold a private "Homeplus Supplier Meeting" in Seoul on the afternoon of the 13th. The meeting is being held amid growing concerns among suppliers about securing payments following the commencement of Homeplus's corporate rehabilitation proceedings (court receivership).
It is reported that representatives from Homeplus and major suppliers in sectors such as electronics, food, and daily necessities will attend the meeting.
Food companies such as Dongseo Food, Ottogi, and Paldo had suspended deliveries fearing non-payment after the start of Homeplus's corporate rehabilitation proceedings but have recently resumed supply.
