Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 12th that it signed a business agreement with the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation (Chairman Si Seok-jung) to support special guarantees for small business owners in Goyang City in 2025 at the opening ceremony of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation Wondang Station Branch held on the 11th.

View original imageAfter the business agreement ceremony, Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang City received a plaque of appreciation from the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation for being selected as an excellent local government for special guarantee contributions in 2024.
The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation Wondang Station Branch (2nd branch) was established on the 7th floor of the Deogyang-gu Creative Innovation Campus to improve accessibility for small business owners in Deogyang-gu and has been operating since February.
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan said, “I sincerely congratulate the opening of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation Wondang Station Branch, and I hope it will become a strong support for many small business owners as accessibility improves through the opening of the Wondang Station Branch.”
He added, “Due to the prolonged domestic demand slump, over 200,000 self-employed people have decreased in the past two months, resulting in the total number of self-employed being lower than during the IMF foreign exchange crisis. In this crisis situation, I ask that the special guarantee for small business owners in Goyang City be operated to support small business owners in the area.”
The special guarantee for small business owners in Goyang City is a project that provides credit guarantees to small business owners experiencing financial difficulties due to lack of collateral. It supports small business owners located in Goyang City who have been in business for more than two months from the opening date, with a maximum limit of 50 million KRW per business.
Goyang Special City has been implementing the special guarantee for small business owners since 2011 and has supported a total of 7,247 cases and 169 billion KRW in guarantees through 2024.
