Five Changemakers Including Park Sangwon of Neulpumgachi Recognized and Their Innovative Cases Shared

On the 11th, Korea Western Power held the 6th Changemaker Awards Ceremony at its headquarters in Taean, Chungnam.
The Changemaker Awards Ceremony was established to discover and support innovators who have made significant contributions in various social fields such as welfare, environment, and education and culture, with the aim of raising public interest in social issues and encouraging participation in improvement activities. Since its inception in 2019, a total of 34 changemakers have been recognized up to this year's sixth event.
Approximately 300 people attended the event, including Lee Jeongbok, President of Korea Western Power; Kim Seongyi, President of the Korea National Council on Social Welfare; Shin Dongho, Director of Social Service Resources at the Ministry of Health and Welfare; Lee Jaeyeol, Professor of Sociology at Seoul National University and Chief Judge; this year's award recipients; and Korea Western Power executives and employees.
The 6th Changemakers selected were Park Sangwon, CEO of Neulpumgachi (Welfare); Kim Jayu, CEO of Nuguna Data (Welfare); Kim Youngrok, CEO of Lock&Run (Economy); Kim Hyunjin, CEO of Heartiworks (Education and Culture); and Park Chanwoo, CEO of Planet Community Center (Environment). Each recipient was awarded a prize of 10 million KRW, a certificate of commendation, and a trophy.
Lee Jeongbok, President of Korea Western Power, stated, "Changemakers are the protagonists who bring about positive change in our society by solving social problems through creative ideas," and added, "Korea Western Power will continue to work with changemakers to create a brighter and more sustainable society."
