'Orzo' Operator Sling Selected for KOTRA Overseas Expansion Support Project
Selected for KOTRA's '2025 Service BM Overseas Expansion Support Project'
Support for business expenses and consulting to facilitate global market entry
Sling, which operates the tablet learning app 'Orzo' for middle and high school students as well as public officials, announced on the 12th that it has been selected for the '2025 Service BM (Business Model) Overseas Expansion Support Project' organized by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
The '2025 Service BM Overseas Expansion Support Project' is a program that provides phased support for overseas market entry and settlement of domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies in promising service sectors such as Edutech, franchise, ICT, and others. Sling was selected as a 'debut company' in the Edutech field after undergoing KOTRA's strict evaluation based on business feasibility, suitability, performance goals, innovativeness, and expected effects.
With this project selection, Sling will receive a total of 35 million KRW in business expenses from KOTRA for overseas marketing, along with opportunities such as ▲establishing overseas expansion strategies and consulting ▲producing video catalogs for service introduction ▲attending promising overseas exhibitions and conducting market inspections.
Sling has chosen the United States and Canada, where tablet penetration rates and exam structures are similar to those in Korea, as its first target countries for expansion. The company plans to launch a global version of the Orzo app in the first half of the year that supports multilingual problem-solving guidance to prepare for international exams held in those regions.
