University Says "Could Not Have Known During Hiring Process"
The fact that Park Ju-shin, son of the late former Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon, has been appointed as an assistant professor at Korea University has been revealed.
According to Korea University on the 12th, Park was appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Architecture at the College of Engineering on the 1st. He applied and was accepted through the '2025 Academic Year 2nd Semester Full-time Faculty Recruitment Announcement' in the second half of last year, and from this semester, he is in charge of two courses: 'Architectural Design' and 'Architectural Design Practice.' Korea University stated, "We did not know, nor could we have known, that Park was the son of the late Mayor Park during the hiring process."

Meanwhile, Park graduated from the Department of Architecture at Korea University in February 2011 and obtained a master's degree from an architecture graduate school in the United Kingdom. After working at David Chipperfield Architects and others, he reportedly returned to Korea in September 2023 after opening his own office, 'Studio Jushin.'
