Cheonan City Saves 290 Million KRW in Medical Benefits Through Case Management
Four Medical Benefit Managers Assigned to Oversee
Irrational Long-term Inpatients
Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, announced on the 11th that it saved approximately 290 million won in home-based medical benefit costs last year through customized case management.
The home-based medical benefit program provides services such as medical care and support to beneficiaries discharged from hospitals, helping them smoothly return to their communities.
Last year, four medical benefit managers were assigned to the program, supporting the management of long-term inpatients with low medical care needs.
The city plans to implement measures for frequent medical service users and new beneficiaries, including improving irrational medical usage habits, providing guidance on appropriate use, educating on proper medication intake, and informing about the medical benefit system.
Kim Changsu, Director of Welfare Policy, said, "We will continue to support efficient health management and strive to reduce medical benefit costs through customized case management."
