The police will disclose the personal information of a man in his 30s, identified as A, who committed a "random murder" in Seocheon, South Chungcheong Province.
The South Chungcheong Provincial Police Agency announced on the 7th that it held a review committee regarding the disclosure of A's personal information and decided to make it public.
According to relevant laws, A's personal information will be released on the 13th, after a five-day grace period.
A is suspected of having murdered a woman in her 40s with a weapon after spotting her while she was out exercising at around 9:30 p.m. on the 2nd.
In a police investigation, A reportedly stated, "I recently lost a large sum of money due to fraud and have been under extreme stress," and "I was so overwhelmed because the world didn't help me that I went out with a weapon and stabbed the victim multiple times as soon as I saw her."
