View original imagePresided over by Mayor Lee Dong-hwan, the meeting was attended by representatives from six local organizations in Goyang City: △Democratic Peaceful Unification Advisory Council △Korea Freedom Federation △Saemaul Association △Junior Chamber International △Marine Corps Veterans Association △Safety Security Guard Union, who exchanged various opinions for regional development.
Mayor Lee emphasized, “In a rapidly changing environment, to enhance the city's global competitiveness and realize policies that resonate with citizens, close communication and collaboration with organizations serving the community are essential,” adding, “We will listen carefully to ideas and suggestions proposed by these organizations and actively seek ways for public and private sectors to develop together.”
The representatives attending the meeting deeply agreed with the city's ongoing policies such as designation of economic free zones, attracting companies and universities, expanding metropolitan transportation networks, and creating smart cities, and pledged to actively cooperate with the city by leveraging their capabilities at the private level.
Additionally, the representatives proposed requests such as expanding the provision of city administration news and supporting operating budgets for each organization, and the relevant departments plan to review and promptly prepare countermeasures.
