The foundation promotes various educational and scholarship programs, disability support projects, and research support initiatives. Every year, it provides scholarships to special schools in the Busan area as well as to middle and high school students and university students nationwide, and it is actively engaged in educational activities related to people with disabilities.
At the signing ceremony, Hwang Youngsik, chairman of the Hajeong Foundation for Youth Education Scholarship Foundation, said, "As a national flagship university, I believe Pusan National University plays an important role in the development of the local community. We will continue to expand our cooperation so that our foundation's scholarships can be delivered to Pusan National University every year, helping students grow into outstanding talents who realize social justice and pursue their dreams even in difficult circumstances."
In response, Choi Jaewon, president of Pusan National University, expressed his gratitude, saying, "We will actively support the scholarship recipients so that they can grow into talented individuals with creative intellect and sound character, reflecting on the social justice and dedication to the underprivileged demonstrated by the Hajeong Foundation."
