From Essential Math Tips to College Admission Strategies
The Gwangju Office of Education will hold this year's first "Gwangju College Admission Parent Academy" at 2 p.m. on the 15th at the Gwangju Education Research and Information Center. This program, which has been running since last year, aims to alleviate anxiety about college admissions and provide accurate information.
According to the Gwangju Office of Education on the 7th, this year's academy will be held once a month from March to June, and once each in October and December, for a total of six sessions. The first lecture, targeting parents preparing for the 2026 college entrance exam, will cover "Mathematics Study Methods and College Admission Strategies."
In the first part, EBSi mathematics instructor Shim Jooseok, a teacher at Incheon Haneul High School, will introduce study methods for the College Scholastic Ability Test and school exams. In the second part, EBSi college admissions instructor Jeong Jewon, a teacher at Seoul Soongeui Girls' High School, will explain customized college admission strategies for third-year high school students.
Parents who wish to participate can apply on the Gwangju Career and College Admission Support Center website by the 13th or register on-site on the day of the event. The lecture videos will be uploaded to the EBSi website after the event.
Superintendent Lee Jeongseon said, "We will support parents so they can reduce the burden of college admissions and prepare for their children's future in a stable manner."
