View original imageSilicon anode materials are next-generation secondary battery materials that will replace conventional graphite, and major battery manufacturers at home and abroad are accelerating research, development, and commercialization in this field. Iljin Electric's 'nanoAISA (nano-Advanced ILJIN’s Si-Alloy)' is an innovative anode material that applies rapid solidification alloy technology to refine silicon to a few nanometers (㎚) in size. While existing products are produced through high-cost raw materials and complex processes, nanoAISA-1750 maximizes raw material utilization by applying a high-efficiency process, making it advantageous for cost reduction and mass production.
The capacity of nanoAISA-1750 reaches 1750mAh/g, providing nearly five times the storage capacity compared to conventional graphite anode materials (about 350mAh/g). It demonstrated superior performance compared to products currently on the market, including an initial efficiency of over 90% and maintaining more than 90% of the initial capacity even after over 500 charge-discharge cycles (based on a 500mAh/g electrode).
