The AI data center MEP system plays an essential role in maintaining stability and efficiency from the design and construction stages of data centers through to their subsequent operation.
Schneider Electric has maintained a global partnership with Microsoft for 30 years and last year signed a partnership with NVIDIA to optimize AI data center infrastructure and establish digital twin technology, unveiling a data center reference design. A data center reference design refers to standardized design guidelines that can be referenced when building or upgrading data centers.
Schneider Electric's technology in data center power and electrical distribution is world-class, having been ranked first in Time magazine's "2024 World's Most Sustainable Leading Companies" list last year.
Through this partnership, the two companies plan to discuss cooperation on building hyperscale AI data centers in domestic regional hubs and will collaborate across all business areas in the MEP field, including components, product solutions, and consulting.
Going forward, SK Telecom plans to develop joint solutions related to AI data centers through a long-term partnership with Schneider Electric and expand its AI data center business into the global market.
Pankaj Sharma, Executive Vice President (EVP) and Head of Secure Power and Services at Schneider Electric, stated, "Schneider Electric provides optimized solutions across the entire MEP spectrum, including data center power infrastructure, cooling systems, and management solutions, based on extensive experience and technological expertise. We expect to create synergy through this collaboration."
