The Department of Yeongdeok Regional Care was newly established last May based on an MOU signed between Yeongdeok County and Daegu Haany University. It is a regionally specialized department that operates various programs tailored to the local situation and characteristics to address issues of population decline and aging.
Accordingly, freshmen will receive education to acquire practical qualifications recognized in the industry, such as caregiver and social worker certifications, within the four-year university degree program.
In particular, for Yeongdeok County residents, Yeongdeok County provides 500,000 KRW each semester, Daegu Haany University covers 50% of the tuition, and the remainder can be supported by national scholarships based on income, allowing students to obtain their degree with up to a full scholarship.
