Gwangju Nam-gu Council Successfully Holds 30th Anniversary Ceremony

View original imageThe Gwangju Nam-gu Council (Chairperson Nam Ho-hyun) announced on the 4th that it held a ceremony to commemorate its 30th anniversary.
The event was attended by over 120 people, including former and current council members, Nam-gu Mayor Kim Byung-nae, and related public officials.
During the ceremony, the council reflected on its past history and presented plaques of appreciation to 17 residents who contributed to the development of local governance. The “Legislative Grand Prize,” awarded by the Nam-gu Legislative Association composed of former council members, was given to Councilor Kim Kwang-soo for the third consecutive time, while the “Legislative Service Grand Prize” was awarded to Councilor Oh Young-soon.
The Nam-gu Council was established on March 1, 1995, with 22 inaugural members. The 9th council currently consists of 11 members actively serving the community.
Chairperson Nam Ho-hyun stated, “I would like to express my gratitude to the local residents, senior and fellow council members, and everyone whose interest and support have enabled Nam-gu Council to reach its 30th anniversary. I ask for your continued cooperation and support so that this can be a new starting point for greater progress, and I will strive to make Nam-gu Council even more trusted by the community.”
