Applications for the first half Talent Development Fund scholarships will be accepted until the 28th. A total of 320 students will be selected: 40 high school students in two categories, 255 university students in three categories, and 25 students with special talents in one category. The total support amounts to approximately 710 million KRW.
This year, the county will continue to provide full tuition coverage for university students as scholarships, and offer academic encouragement grants for living expenses based on income requirements. In the first half of this year, the eligibility for the "special talent scholarship" has been expanded from "high school and university students" to include "elementary and middle school students."
County Governor Lee Sangik said, "In Hampyeong, we are supporting students to ensure equal educational opportunities and allow them to focus on their studies," adding, "We will do our best to nurture talented individuals who will drive the growth of our region."
