The agreement includes: ▲ Support for the development and operation of railway travel packages linked to Daejeon's signature festivals such as the Daejeon 0 O'clock Festival ▲ Collaborative projects to increase the number of domestic and international tourists visiting Daejeon via railway ▲ Mutual cooperation for regional coexistence and shared management ▲ Other mutual cooperation for revitalizing the tourism industry and advancing the local economy.
Through this agreement, the city plans to significantly expand the attraction of tourists by operating train travel packages connecting major regions nationwide, including the Seoul metropolitan area, Gyeongsang region, and Jeolla region. Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "Through cooperation with KORAIL Tourism Development, traveling to Daejeon will become easier and more enjoyable," and added, "We will do our best to promote Daejeon's unique charm nationwide and establish it as a city people want to visit again."
