Hwang Hyunpil, head of the History Correction Research Institute and a YouTuber with 1.09 million subscribers, will visit Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. Jangseong-gun announced on the 4th that Hwang has been invited to the Jangseong Academy on the 6th.

View original imageHwang, who graduated from the Department of History Education at Chonnam National University, has served as a teacher at Salesio High School, a social studies instructor at EBS, and a Korean history instructor for civil service exams. He is currently the head of the History Correction Research Institute. His published works include "History for Progress," "Yi Sunshin's Sea," and "Modern History," among others. His YouTube channel has gained widespread popularity, reaching 1.09 million subscribers. In this lecture, he is expected to discuss the importance of having a correct perspective on history.
The Jangseong Academy is held on the first and third Thursdays of every month at the small theater of the Jangseong Culture and Arts Center. The lecture can also be attended in real time via the county's YouTube channel. Lectures for which data sharing is permitted can be rewatched on YouTube and the county's official website.
