Hecton Project Achieves First EMR Recertification in Hospital-Level EMR Industry
Hecton Project, the No.1 hospital-level EMR (Electronic Medical Record) solution company, announced on the 4th that it has obtained EMR re-certification from the Korea Health Information Service under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, marking the first time in the hospital-level EMR industry.
The EMR certification system was introduced in 2020. It grants certification to medical institutions using EMR with the goal of enhancing patient safety, improving the quality of medical services, and ensuring continuity of care. The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Information Service conducted the second cycle of EMR certification in 2023, revising the standards to integrate certification criteria and standardize medical information.
Hecton Project participated in the second cycle EMR certification project to support hospitals using its EMR product, 'Doctors,' in providing high-quality medical services, and obtained both product and usage certifications. This achievement met not only 27 criteria evaluating product functionality but also 32 criteria verifying interoperability and security, demonstrating high technical capability and reliability.
In particular, Hecton Project obtained certification for the second time following 2021, which is significant as it is the first among hospital-level medical institutions using EMR.
Lee Dong-dae, CEO of Hecton Project, said, "Through this EMR re-certification, we have once again proven that 'Doctors' provides reliable medical records through stable program operation," adding, "We will continue to develop programs that hospitals and patients can use with confidence."
