Gyeonggi-do Operates Cheonhamujeok Reading Group... Responsible for Spreading Reading Culture
Gyeonggi Province is operating the ‘Cheonhamujeok Reading Group’ to encourage lifelong reading.
Composed of 125 members, the Cheonhamujeok Reading Group is part of Gyeonggi Province’s lifelong reading project and will be responsible for spreading the reading culture within the province.
The name Cheonhamujeok Reading Group means ‘a person who reads is invincible’ and also implies that ‘reading 1,000 books can be achieved by reading at least 10 minutes a day.’

View original imageGyeonggi Province provides an annual activity allowance of up to 300,000 KRW to the Cheonhamujeok Reading Group based on the types of content they create on social networking services (SNS), and outstanding participants will be awarded commendations.
Park Jong-guk, Head of Lifelong Education at the Gyeonggi-do Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, said, "We hope the stories and content of the Cheonhamujeok Reading Group will ignite a lifelong reading movement throughout Gyeonggi Province."
