MS Outlook and Others 'Frozen'... Restored in 30 Minutes
Microsoft (MS) Outlook and 365 services experienced a downtime on the 1st (local time) but were restored in about 30 minutes.
According to the internet monitoring site Downdetector, reports of Outlook issues surged at 3 PM Eastern Time (12 PM Pacific Time) on the same day, with a total of about 35,000 reports in the United States. Shortly after the Outlook issue reports, around 25,000 reports of MS 365 subscription service problems were also reported.
MS Outlook is an email management program, and MS 365 is a subscription service that includes various Office programs and cloud services.
Regarding Outlook, reports included inability to connect to the server, and for MS 365, users reported being unable to log in.
The issue also occurred partially in MS Teams, MS's collaboration tool, and MS Store, MS's app store.
