Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, emphasized on the 1st (local time), the day after his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump ended in disaster, that Ukraine's hardships must not be forgotten.
President Zelensky posted on X (formerly Twitter) that day, stating, "It is very important for us that Ukraine's voice is heard during the war and after the war ends, and that no one forgets."

The summit held at the White House the previous day ended with the planned mineral agreement falling through after the two leaders engaged in a heated public exchange. President Trump criticized President Zelensky as "rude" and "ungrateful," but Zelensky did not back down and repeatedly asserted his position.
Leaders and politicians from various countries, especially in Europe, rallied to support Zelensky. President Zelensky individually replied with "Thank you for your support" to about 30 messages of support sent by world leaders on X.
He also expressed gratitude to President Trump, the U.S. Congress, and the American people for supporting Ukraine. President Zelensky emphasized, "Ukraine wants a just and sustainable peace, and we are working toward exactly that goal."

Even after exchanging heated words with President Trump and leaving the White House empty-handed, President Zelensky did not give up on restoring relations. In an interview with Fox News following the meeting, he said, "Of course, I believe it is possible to restore relations with the United States," but also made it clear that he had no intention of apologizing, stating, "I am not sure if we did anything wrong."
