Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association, COEX, and KOTRA, ‘InterBattery’ is the largest battery exhibition in Korea, featuring a record scale this year with 688 participating companies and 2,330 booths.

This exhibition will feature EcoPro and POSCO Future M, leading companies in Pohang’s specialized complexes, while local companies PM Grow and Endive will participate in the joint promotional pavilion of Gyeongbuk Pohang City to pioneer new markets and attract investment, showcasing Pohang’s capabilities as a global battery hub.

‘PM Grow,’ located in the Pohang Blue Valley Industrial Complex, is Korea’s first battery safety service platform company, presenting its self-developed integrated safety management service that analyzes data in real-time using artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

‘Endive,’ located in the Pohang Yeongilman Industrial Complex, is a battery recycling and reuse company. Starting as a special zone business operator in the 2019 next-generation battery recycling regulatory free zone, it will introduce various used battery recycling process technologies developed and accumulated in the Pohang Yeongilman Industrial Complex.

EcoPro will promote the world’s first established cathode material value chain ‘Closed Loop Eco System’ and demonstrate its strategy to prepare for the future global market despite concerns about the chasm.

POSCO Future M will operate the second-largest booth after LG Energy Solution and Samsung SDI, showcasing POSCO’s unique value chain status for supply chain diversification including nickel, graphite, and recycling.

Additionally, Pohang City will hold a secondary battery expert meeting during the exhibition to discuss ways to overcome crises related to the secondary battery chasm and the re-election of Trump.

Mayor Lee Kang-deok emphasized, “At this exhibition, we plan to understand global technologies and industry trends together with companies and seek cooperation methods for sustainable development. Pohang will do its best to create new opportunities through continuous innovation and cooperation and to establish an environment where companies can focus on production and investment.”
