Gimcheon City in Gyeongbuk has launched the Gimcheon City Job Governance by establishing a cooperative system to revitalize local employment.

View original imageOn the 27th, the city signed an agreement with 15 organizations, including the Gumi Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Gyeongsangbuk-do Economic Promotion Agency, Korea Electric Power Technology, Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Transportation Safety Authority, Korea Legal Aid Corporation, and Gimcheon University, at the city hall auditorium.
Through this agreement, each organization agreed to build a cooperative network for ▲job creation ▲strengthening employment services ▲joint utilization of resources.
To this end, they plan to expand information sharing among institutions and strengthen the cooperation system for job support projects.
The city will form a working-level council to continuously discuss cooperation plans and enhance policy effectiveness through regular meetings. Additionally, starting in 2025, they will regularize the ‘Successful Employment Smart Matching Job Fair,’ which connects job seekers and employers monthly, to promote practical employment support.
