Gwangju Urban Corporation Recruiting Residents for Usan Bityeoulchae
Eligibility Criteria Eased: Monthly Average Income Raised from 50% to 150%
Applications Accepted In-Person at Administrative Welfare Centers from the 4th to 11th of Next Month
Gwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) announced on the 27th that it will ease the eligibility requirements for preliminary tenants of the Usan Bityeoulchae permanent rental apartments, which are managed and operated by the corporation.
For this supply, the income standard has been significantly relaxed from the previous 50% or less of the monthly average income to 150% or less, expanding the support range so that various social groups can enjoy stable housing benefits.
Eligibility to apply requires, as of the recruitment announcement date (February 20), being a head of a homeless household or a member of a homeless household residing in Gwangju, with a household monthly average income of 150% or less of the urban worker's average (5,224,000 KRW for a single-person household, 8,123,000 KRW for a two-person household), and meeting other permanent rental housing qualifications.
Out of 1,485 units at Usan Bityeoulchae, 430 preliminary tenants will be recruited for units where green remodeling has been completed and for vacant units resulting from previous tenants moving out. Applications can be submitted in person at the local administrative welfare center from the 4th to the 11th of next month. Detailed information can be found on the corporation's website under Rental/Notice, and consultation is also available through the Rental Housing Call Center.
