AmCham, Workplace Safety and Health Seminar
The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM) announced on the 27th that it held a 'Workplace Safety and Health Seminar' in collaboration with the global medical company Stryker at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 26th.
Experts from various industries gathered to discuss ways to enhance workplace safety using advanced medical technologies, including automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Stryker has developed an innovative AED solution that can save lives in the event of sudden cardiac arrest, contributing to the creation of safer work environments.
James Kim, Chairman and CEO of AMCHAM, emphasized, "Workplace safety is not merely about regulatory compliance but an essential responsibility and strategic investment for employee welfare and corporate sustainability."
He added, "With the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act, the importance of proactive safety measures has never been greater. Establishing world-class safety standards is a crucial factor for Korea to strengthen corporate trust."
