The pledge ceremony took place at the Hampyeong Expo Theme Video Hall, with 150 participants including construction supervisors, responsible engineers, and on-site representatives.
Representing 46 ongoing projects by the Jeollanam-do Construction and Transportation Bureau this year, the construction supervisor and on-site representative of the "Yeongsangang Riverside Road Construction Project" read the pledge and exchanged integrity implementation agreements to prevent corruption.
Jeollanam-do urged participants to foster a sense of safety to enhance integrity and successfully complete projects without accidents. As the Serious Accident Punishment Act will be expanded to workplaces with fewer than 50 employees starting in 2024, the necessity of thorough on-site management, such as establishing safety plans to prevent industrial accidents at each site, was also emphasized.
The event featured a lecture on "Basic Integrity Education and Fostering Safety Awareness," the distribution of integrity guidelines, and various other activities to further promote a culture of integrity.
Moon Ingi, Director of the Jeollanam-do Construction and Transportation Bureau, said, "We plan to operate integrity monitoring throughout the year and will create a zero-accident, top-quality workplace through information sharing and communication among construction stakeholders."
