Ulju-gun cited the harmony and cooperation of Ulju residents and Onggi Village inhabitants as the biggest success factors of the ‘2024 Ulsan Onggi Festival.’
By organizing a resident planning group to strengthen programs planned and operated by residents, and running eco-friendly and local economy revitalization programs, it was well received for implementing a resident-led festival and a sustainable festival that values the process.
County Governor Lee Soon-geol said, “The Ulsan Onggi Festival, the only cultural tourism festival in Ulsan, has been widely recognized as a representative festival of Korea by winning the Korea Festival Contents Grand Prize for nine consecutive years. We will continue to develop content using onggi and advance the festival based on tradition and onggi culture.”
