Hyunsoo Choi, CEO of Clean Nation, Appointed as New President of Korea Paper Association
The First Female President Since Its Founding
Choi Hyun-soo, CEO of KleanNara, has been appointed as the 36th president of the Korea Paper Association.
KleanNara announced that CEO Choi was elected as the new president at the Korea Paper Association’s regular general meeting held on the morning of the 25th at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul.
Founded in 1952, the Korea Paper Association is an organization established to promote the sound development of the domestic paper and pulp industry and contribute to the national economic development. For over 70 years, it has represented the domestic paper industry and carried out various activities.
Through this appointment, CEO Choi will take on the role of fostering industry harmony and cooperation for the next two years. It is especially significant as she is the first female president since the founding of the Paper Association.
CEO Choi said, "I feel a heavy responsibility and a strong sense of mission as I take on the presidency at a time when the paper industry is facing a critical turning point," adding, "I will lead the flow of change with the attitude of a 'Game Changer' who pioneers the industry and create new standards as a leader."
She also presented strengthening sustainability through eco-friendly innovation, creating high added value through digital transformation (DX), and leading a new paradigm in the global market as the paper industry’s "three core tasks." She emphasized the need to respond swiftly to the rapidly changing industrial environment and secure competitiveness in the global market.
CEO Choi joined KleanNara in 2006 and has served as head of marketing, head of the household goods business division, and head of the general business division before becoming CEO in 2019. Since her appointment, she has promoted sustainable management by developing eco-friendly products and introducing production methods that consider resource circulation.
