Concert Ticket Scam on SNS: 30s Suspect Arrested and Sent to Prosecution for 2.5 Million Won Fraud
A man in his 30s who habitually took money by posting fake concert ticket sales on secondhand trading websites has been arrested and referred for prosecution.
Gwangju Seobu Police Station announced on the 25th that they had arrested a man in his 30s, identified as A, on charges of fraud.
From October last year until last month, A is accused of posting false advertisements for concert tickets and gift certificates on online secondhand trading sites and defrauding six victims of a total of 2.5 million won.
A used the proceeds from the crimes for his living expenses. It was found that A committed these acts only five months after being released from prison, where he served time for similar offenses in the past.
After receiving a complaint, the police arrested A on the 20th at a studio apartment in Seo-gu.
