"Promoting the Beauty of Gyeongbuk Through Coverage"…'Gyeongbuk Travel Reporter' Launch Ceremony
Gyeongbuk Culture and Tourism Corporation (President Kim Nam-il) announced on the 25th that it held the inauguration ceremony for the ‘2025 Gyeongbuk Travel Reporters,’ who create and introduce content based on Gyeongbuk Province’s tourist attractions and culture.
This year marks the 14th year of activity for the Gyeongbuk Travel Reporters group, which recruited 15 members from 99 applicants, resulting in a competition ratio of 6.6 to 1.
The newly formed Gyeongbuk Travel Reporters, composed of a diverse age range from their 20s to 50s, will select trendy themes each month to visit and cover Gyeongsangbuk-do’s tourist resources, cultural events and festivals, and popular restaurants, producing content based on their firsthand experiences.
In particular, with the opening of the Donghae Line and Jungang Line railways at the end of last year, accessibility to Gyeongbuk’s coastal and inland tourist sites has improved. The reporters are expected to take the lead in creating high-quality tourism content related to these developments to promote new tourist attractions in Gyeongbuk.
President Kim Nam-il stated, “With the Year of Visiting Gyeongbuk 2025 and the 2025 APEC Summit approaching, the activities of the Gyeongbuk Travel Reporters will help us discover the charms of Gyeongbuk that we did not know before and increase interest in tourism in Gyeongbuk. We look forward to the reporters’ active participation and creative content production to achieve this.”
