Yeongju City Signs Investment Business Agreement with Dias One Co., Ltd. in Tourism Sector
Large-scale Investment and Job Creation Expected to Boost the Local Economy
Yeongju City (Mayor Park Nam-seo) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the 25th with Dias One Co., Ltd. (CEO Kwon Oh-jung) to promote large-scale investment in the tourism business.
At the signing ceremony, about 10 officials including Dias One CEO Kwon Oh-jung, Yeongju Mayor Park Nam-seo, and Yeongju City Council Vice Chairman Lee Sang-geun attended to share the direction of the project and promised successful cooperation.
Through this agreement, Yeongju City promised active support including administrative and financial assistance and infrastructure installation to create a golf course, a long-cherished wish of its citizens. Dias One Co., Ltd. plans to enhance regional tourism competitiveness by developing accommodation facilities and region-specific facilities including a full-scale golf course according to its investment plan.
This project involves investing more than 180 billion KRW of private capital in an approximately 1 million square meter area around Jidong-ri, Isan-myeon, to build an 18-hole full-scale golf course, clubhouse, golf practice range, accommodation facilities, park, and local specialty product stores. It is expected to create more than 100 new jobs and contribute to revitalizing local tourism.
CEO Kwon Oh-jung said, “We will solve the long-standing wishes of Yeongju citizens through active investment and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”

Yeongju Mayor Park Nam-seo said, “Once Yeongju’s first full-scale golf course is established, many tourists are expected to visit due to its excellent accessibility to the metropolitan area,” adding, “We will strive to make this a successful project where local governments and companies can coexist through generous support.”
