Daejeon City Creates Character 'Cheongkumi' to Promote Integrity Commitment
Adding the "Secret Royal Inspector" Concept to Daejeon's Mascot "Kkumdori"
Daejeon City announced that it has created an anti-corruption and integrity character named "Cheongnyeomhan Kkumdori, Cheongkkumi," which embodies its commitment to integrity.
According to the city on the 25th, the character adds the concept of a "secret royal inspector," who uncovers and eradicates corruption, to Daejeon's mascot "Kkumdori."
"Cheongkkumi" is expected to take the lead in spreading a culture of integrity throughout the public sector and local community as a messenger that delivers the meaning of integrity?which can often feel rigid?in an easy and friendly way.
"Cheongkkumi" and the integrity slogan will be actively used in various ways, such as campaigns, promotional materials, and employee business cards, to naturally spread a culture of integrity.
The city has designated this year as the Year of Integrity Advancement and selected "Integrity Together, Valuable Daejeon" as its final slogan, emphasizing that integrity is achieved when practiced collectively.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, said, "Creating 'Cheongkkumi' to help people understand integrity in a friendly way, which many find difficult, is the first step in Daejeon's integrity policy this year," adding, "I hope that, starting with this, 'Cheongkkumi' and the integrity slogan will naturally become part of citizens' lives, making Daejeon an even more integrity-driven city."
