Dementia Prevention Storytelling
Gyeongbuk Travel Program to Be Operated
At the Dementia Safety Center in Yeongju-si, Gyeongbuk, a program called ‘Dementia Prevention Storytelling Gyeongbuk Travel’ will be operated from the 25th of this month to April 17th to help local elderly open up their bodies and minds that had been curled up throughout the winter and prevent dementia.

The goal is to promote social participation and enhance physical and mental health through various activities such as crafts, art, music, sensory stimulation, and exercise.
In particular, this dementia prevention class incorporates the dementia prevention cognitive training program ‘Gyeongbuk Travel’ using a storytelling technique that makes participants feel as if they are traveling to various famous spots in the Gyeongbuk region. Through this, it is designed to help recall old memories and strengthen attention and cognitive functions, adding fun and interest for the elderly.
Additionally, the Dementia Safety Center operates various dementia prevention and management programs throughout the year, including a ‘Dementia Patient Shelter’ to prevent the progression of mild dementia patients to severe stages, dementia family classes, and self-help groups for dementia patients and their families.
