A man in his 60s died after being crushed by a 15-meter-high oak tree while clearing the area around his mother's grave in Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
According to the Haenam Police Station on the 24th, at 11:16 a.m. the previous day, Mr. A, in his 60s, was cutting down trees with a chainsaw near his mother's grave on a mountain in Gyegok-myeon, Haenam-gun, when he was crushed by a 15-meter oak tree.
The 119 emergency medical team, who responded to the report, transported Mr. A to the hospital in cardiac arrest, but he died during treatment. A relative, Mr. B, also in his 60s, who was working with him, was also crushed by the tree and sustained minor injuries.
