Kakao Pay to Expand B2B Business
Kakao Pay and HD Hyundai Samho announced on the 24th that they have signed a strategic partnership agreement to link Samho Pay and Kakao Pay Points. This is Kakao Pay's second agreement with an HD Hyundai affiliate, following last year's partnership with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. The companies plan to accelerate their business-to-business (B2B) operations.

On the 21st, Kakao Pay and HD Hyundai Samho held a partnership agreement ceremony at the Kakao Pay office in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, to link Kakao Pay Points with Samho Pay Safety Points. The ceremony was attended by key executives from both companies, including Baek Seung-jun, Vice President of Business at Kakao Pay, and Han Jeong-dong, Vice President of HD Hyundai Samho.
Following the agreement, the two companies plan to establish a system linking Samho Pay Safety Points, which serve as safety activity incentives for HD Hyundai Samho employees, with Kakao Pay Points. Once the system is in place, employees of Hyundai Samho and its partner companies will be able to convert their awarded safety points into Kakao Pay Points as desired and freely use them at Kakao Pay affiliated online and offline stores.
Kakao Pay expanded its Kakao Pay Points B2B business model by signing a partnership agreement with HD Hyundai Samho, following last year's agreement with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. The company plans to continue collaborating with various enterprises going forward.
Vice President Baek said, "We hope this collaboration will provide HD Hyundai Samho employees with a new payment experience," adding, "We will do our best to offer innovative services through cooperation with diverse companies."
Vice President Han stated, "We expect that the introduction of Samho Pay will encourage employees to actively participate in safety activities," and added, "We will continue to do our best to realize corporate values centered on people and prioritizing safety."

Users can input any amount starting from 1 won to pay like cash when making payments with Kakao Pay Money at online and offline merchants.
