Hantoo Asset Management "ACE ETF Surpasses 15 Trillion KRW in Net Asset Value... Approaching 8% Market Share"
Korea Investment Trust Management announced on the 24th that the total net asset value of ACE Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) has surpassed 15 trillion won.
According to Korea Investment Trust Management, as of the 21st, there are a total of 90 ACE ETFs listed on the Korea Exchange, with a total net asset value of 15.0055 trillion won. The market share within the ETF market is also approaching 8%. The market share of ACE ETFs currently stands at 7.90%, marking the highest level in the past three years during which the ETF market has experienced rapid growth.
The growth of ACE ETFs is attributed to their differentiated products. Since changing its ETF brand to ACE in 2022, Korea Investment Trust Management has introduced compressed ETFs that focus intensively on fewer than 10 stocks, such as the ACE Global Semiconductor TOP4 Plus SOLACTIVE ETF and the ACE US Big Tech TOP7 Plus ETF. These differ from traditional products that invest in representative indices and diversify across dozens of stocks.
There are also products of types first introduced by ACE ETFs. Representative examples include covered call ETFs that pursue high target distribution rates using daily options (0DTE), such as the ACE US 500 Daily Target Covered Call (Synthetic) ETF, ACE US Semiconductor Daily Target Covered Call (Synthetic) ETF, and ACE US Big Tech 7+ Daily Target Covered Call (Synthetic) ETF. Additionally, ACE has supplied previously unavailable products such as Asia’s first active ETF investing in India: the ACE India Consumer Power Active ETF and ACE India Market Representative BIG5 Group Active ETF, as well as Korea’s first spot-type investment in long-term US Treasury bonds with the ACE US 30-Year Treasury Active (H) ETF.
Korea Investment Trust Management is also leading in providing necessary information to investors. It became the first domestic asset management company to place investment guidebook content on the online book platform 'Millie’s Library' and continuously delivers investment information through its official YouTube channel and social networking services (SNS).
The differentiated products and investor-friendly information provision have led to an influx of individual investors. In 2022, the annual net purchase amount by individual investors was only 241.6 billion won, but it increased to 738.4 billion won in 2023. Furthermore, in 2024, the net purchase amount by individual investors surged to 2.7645 trillion won, significantly contributing to the increase in ACE ETF net assets. Even this year, 710.7 billion won of net purchases by individual investors flowed in, ranking second among 27 ETF management companies.
Nam Yong-su, Head of ETF Management at Korea Investment Trust Management, said, "Korea Investment Trust Management prioritizes 'customer value orientation' and strives to supply products that customers need and require. This year as well, we will continue to provide unique ACE ETF products while doing our best to ensure stable management of the products."
