HiteJinro Launches 'Ilpum Jinro Mild'... "The Smoothest Ilpum Jinro"
Maintains Deep Flavor, Delivers Smooth and Clean Taste
Nationwide Sales Scheduled After First Shipment on the 27th
HiteJinro announced on the 24th that it will launch a new distilled soju product, 'Ilpum Jinro Mild,' based on its 100-year history and brewing expertise. HiteJinro's strategy is to introduce a low-alcohol new product to meet the diversifying consumer demands and present a new direction in the market.
With the launch of Ilpum Jinro Mild, HiteJinro will expand its distilled soju lineup to include ▲Ilpum Jinro 25 (25% alcohol by volume) ▲Ilpum Jinro 1924 Heritage (30%) ▲Ilpum Jinro Oak 25 (25%) ▲Ilpum Jinro Oak 43 (43%) ▲Ilpum Jinro Goyeonsan (31%). As a result of developing and introducing various new distilled soju products, the Ilpum Jinro brand sales increased by approximately 26% year-on-year last year.
Ilpum Jinro Mild is a distilled soju with an alcohol content of 16.9%, characterized by maintaining the deep flavor of Ilpum Jinro while delivering the smoothest taste. It uses 100% domestically grown rice, discarding the first and last distillates and using only the middle distillate, which has excellent aroma and flavor. To ensure a clean finish, impurities and off-flavors were removed at subzero temperatures.
The product packaging and volume (375ml) of Ilpum Jinro Mild are the same as Ilpum Jinro, and it is scheduled to be sold nationwide through entertainment and home channels after its first shipment on the 27th.
Oh Seong-taek, Executive Director of Marketing at HiteJinro, said, "As a leading comprehensive liquor company in Korea, we are continuously conducting research and development to introduce products that meet consumer and market needs." He added, "Ilpum Jinro Mild, which maintains the deep flavor while allowing for a smooth and light drinking experience, is expected to bring a fresh breeze to the distilled soju market."
