Buan County Promotes Green Remodeling Project for Low-Income Households
138 Million Won Support Provided to 23 Households
Buan County in North Jeolla Province will implement the '2025 Green Remodeling Project for Low-Income Households'.
According to the county on the 20th, this project was promoted to improve the living convenience of low-income households. It involves inspecting old and deteriorated houses and supporting improvements such as replacing insulation windows and boilers, renovating security facilities, kitchens, and bathrooms, and wallpaper and flooring work to enhance residential stability and energy efficiency.
This year, the project will support a total of 23 households with a budget of 138 million won (50% from lottery funds, 50% from county funds), providing up to 6 million won per household.
The project targets old and deteriorated houses of basic livelihood security recipients and the near-poor class, with priority given to houses in urgent need of repair. Those wishing to apply for housing repairs should submit their applications to their local town or township office by the 6th of next month. However, households that have received similar overlapping home repair services within the past three years will be excluded from selection.
Heo Jinsang, head of the Civil Affairs Division, said, "Through this project, we expect to greatly contribute to improving the residential environment for vulnerable groups, enhancing comfortable living and quality of life, and minimizing blind spots in poor housing conditions."
