The Resident Health Checkup Project is highly favored by residents and targets 2,600 residents aged 45 and older living in three towns and townships in the East Gyeongju area (Gampo-eup, Yangnam-myeon, Munmu Daewang-myeon). After accepting applications from those wishing to undergo checkups, the examinations are scheduled to begin at the end of February.

The newly introduced PET-CT screening, implemented since last year, showed a resident satisfaction rate of over 90% for the overall screening process. Out of the allocated 260 people, 242 completed the screening, resulting in a high completion rate of 93%.

Additionally, starting this year, Wolsong Headquarters plans to newly implement the ‘Support Project for Medical Expenses for Vulnerable Groups’ by providing an additional total project budget of 50 million KRW.

The support targets residents of the East Gyeongju area who have been diagnosed with cancer or other severe diseases through the resident health checkup and are expected to require long-term treatment and incur high medical expenses. Medical expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 3 million KRW per person.

Wolsong Headquarters plans to implement not only the health checkup project but also senior health promotion projects and the 100-Year Longevity Village project in the East Gyeongju area as part of KHNP’s support projects for 2025.
