What Support Is Available This Year for Small and Medium Enterprises and Small Business Owners in Busan?
Nine Institutions Including Busan City Hold 'Integrated Support Project Information Session'
Comprehensive Overview of Support Policies by Institution
One-on-One Consultation Booths Available
Busan City will hold an information session that comprehensively introduces the projects supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners this year.
Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-jun) announced on the 19th that it will hold the 2025 Busan City SME and Small Business Support Project Integrated Information Session on the 1st floor of City Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 21st.
This integrated information session was prepared to guide support policies for local SMEs and small business owners who are struggling due to the prolonged economic downturn.
By integrating project briefings held by each institution, it aims to assist business owners' convenience, expand information exchange, and provide broad networking opportunities.
The session will feature a total of nine institutions, including Busan Economic Promotion Agency and Busan Technopark, which are affiliated with the city, as well as government-related institutions such as the Busan Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and the Small and Medium Business Corporation, to introduce support policies by institution.
Busan Economic Promotion Agency, affiliated with Busan City, will provide information on business support projects such as corporate funding, online and offline marketing, overseas market development, and step-by-step support projects for small business owners including startup, growth, and recovery.
Busan Technopark will introduce technology support projects (hydrogen, secondary batteries, future aviation, life industry, footwear fashion, etc.) and industry networks based on regional industry-academia cooperation.
Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation will introduce small business policy fund support projects and financial welfare consulting; Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency will present information and communication and cultural content industry support projects; and Busan Design Promotion Agency will introduce design development, technology convergence, and other design field support projects.
Government-related institutions such as the Busan Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration will introduce the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ business support projects; the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Small and Medium Business Corporation will present SME funding support projects; the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters of the Small Enterprise and Market Service will introduce support policies for small business owners and traditional markets; and the Busan-Gyeongnam Sales Headquarters of the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund will provide information on the institution’s major SME support systems.
One-on-one consultation booths by institution will be set up in the lobby on the 1st floor of Busan City Hall to provide customized consultations tailored to individual situations. The information session is open to anyone without prior registration, and participants attending the on-site session will receive various information and benefits such as institution-specific guidebooks.

Kim Bong-cheol, Director of the Digital Economy Office of Busan City, said, “We hope that obtaining various support information effectively will greatly help business growth and alleviate management difficulties,” adding, “We plan to expand diverse support to assist local businesses and small business owners.”
