Busan National University Hosts Exchange Meeting with Local Company 'ARISE'
22 Companies from Busan's 9 Strategic Industries and 6 Organizations Participate
Pusan National University (President Choi Jae-won) held the 'Pusan National University-Local Companies ARISE (Alliance RISE) Exchange Meeting' on the 18th at the Westin Chosun Hotel to address regional issues and promote sustainable development.
This exchange meeting was organized to strengthen global competitiveness through cooperation among local universities, companies, and local governments, and to foster Busan as a center for future new growth engines.
At the event, Pusan National University signed MOUs with 22 companies from Busan's 9 strategic industries, including Daechang Solution Co., Ltd., Total Softbank Co., Ltd., and Panasia Co., Ltd., as well as six related organizations such as the Busan Marine Engineering Industry Association, Busan Shipbuilding and Marine Equipment Industry Cooperative, Korea Electric Power Small Component Industry Association, and Busan Information Technology Association, thereby solidifying the foundation for regional innovation. Additionally, Busan Technopark and the Busan Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration introduced various government support projects including R&D, startup, and export support, along with a policy briefing session for Busan City.
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Pusan National University presented the operation status of industry-academic cooperation models and support projects tailored to regional characteristics, emphasizing collaboration with local companies.
Participants sought sustainable cooperation methods among institutions and companies by strengthening industry-academia-research cooperation through the exchange meeting and networking. In particular, a networking session with experts in various technical fields was held to discuss the technical challenges faced by companies and to consider customized support measures to resolve them.
