Yeongju-si, Recruiting Companies and Interns for Small and Medium Enterprise Regular Employee Project
Yeongju City launches SME Regular Employee Project
Employment support and retention incentives of 3 million KRW per person
Yeongju City (Mayor Park Nam-seo) is promoting the ‘2025 Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Regular Employee Project’ to alleviate the manpower shortage of local SMEs and support employment for job-seeking youth, marriage immigrants, and other employment-challenged groups.
From the 24th of this month to March 7th, participating companies and interns will be recruited.
This project operates by providing employment support funds of 1.5 million KRW per person per month for two months when SMEs hire new interns. If the participating intern is converted to a regular employee after two months of internship, a total of 3 million KRW in retention incentives will be paid?1.5 million KRW each at the third and tenth months.
Companies wishing to participate must be SMEs under the SME Basic Act registered for the four major social insurances and able to pay employees at least the monthly minimum wage. However, companies with seasonal or temporary labor demands of less than three months, businesses managed by relatives, and companies without industrial sites are restricted from participating.
Intern applicants must be employment-challenged individuals such as unemployed youth and marriage immigrants registered as residents in Yeongju City as of the announcement date. Interested companies and interns should prepare the required documents and apply in person at the Yeongju City Enterprise Support Office.
Detailed information is available on the Yeongju City website, and inquiries can be made to the Yeongju City Enterprise Support Office.
