Muan County Holds Briefing on Proposed Projects for 2026 National and Provincial Funding Support
79 Newly Identified Projects Worth 686.3 Billion KRW
Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) held a briefing session on the discovery of projects to request national and provincial funding for 2026, presided over by Governor Kim San, on the 18th.
According to the county on the 19th, the briefing was organized to ensure the smooth implementation of new and regional pending projects amid the challenges posed by the government's fiscal tightening. A total of 79 projects amounting to 686.3 billion KRW were identified during the session.

View original imageMajor newly identified projects include: ▲ Construction of a Namak child-friendly National Sports Center (8.2 billion KRW) ▲ Local commercial district revitalization project (10 billion KRW) ▲ Fishing village revitalization project (20 billion KRW) ▲ Topmeori natural disaster risk improvement district maintenance project (22.8 billion KRW) ▲ Creation of a smart agriculture promotion district (20 billion KRW), among others.
Based on the identified projects, the county plans to visit and consult with Jeonnam Province and central government ministries, and to steadily implement step-by-step response plans such as preparing justifications and logic to reflect regional pending projects.
Governor Kim San stated, "Securing national and provincial funding is extremely important for the stable implementation of regional pending projects under the government's fiscal tightening policy," and urged, "Please do your utmost to form an organic network by visiting ministries and Jeonnam Province to secure funding for the projects identified in this briefing session."
