Shinsegae Food announced on the 19th that it has launched a new product, 'Probiotic Rice Bread,' in response to the growing popularity of healthy meal breads.
'Probiotic Rice Bread' is the fourth product in the healthy meal bread line that Shinsegae Food has been offering since October last year at E-Mart's E Bakery stores. Made with domestically produced rice flour and brown rice oil extracted from rice bran, and kneaded with a patented gluten-degrading probiotic, it preserves the subtle and savory flavor of rice while reducing digestive burden for consumers sensitive to lactose, allowing for comfortable enjoyment.
Additionally, it retains the soft and chewy texture unique to bread, making it ideal for sandwiches, toasts, and other dishes using various ingredients. The price is 4,500 won.
Shinsegae Food plans to continuously introduce healthy meal breads at reasonable prices in this era of high inflation to enhance customer satisfaction. In fact, Shinsegae Food's three types of 'Probiotic Rice Bread' (Morning Roll, Baguette, Croissant) have seen a 12% monthly average sales increase since their launch, surpassing 600,000 units sold cumulatively last month. Notably, all three products ranked within the top 10 in sales among over 50 types of bread sold at E-Mart's E Bakery last month, demonstrating their high popularity.
